Brandcommerce creative and development for a national premium protein product

The Bounce website brief was focused on creating a brand commerce website, with emphasis on a clear brand message, highlighting their strong visual content, and ultimately making their store desirable to shop through.

Following a thorough scoping and discovery process with the Bounce team, we designed and developed a website that delivered a truly standout brand experience and ecommerce functionality all managed from a comprehensive and yet easy to use CMS. The CMS enabled the Bounce team to fully trade the site and keep all content fresh and relevant

Our collaborative design process with the Bounce team led to us proposing a different layout for their product listing pages, in order to best highlight their range of flavours and also to really bring some of the brands bright and colourful characteristics into the ecommerce journey. With interactive hover states and embedded icons to show key product information such as whether they are vegan, we reimagined the classic ecommerce grid layout for product listings into something far more visually engaging.

Our 50/50 sticky scrolling product single page gave Bounce further real estate to show off their great range of product shots and bring in some motion animation into the opening image. As with the product listing page, brand commerce is at the core of this site, and so balance was key in showing off the product as well as highlighting important product information on ingredients. The integration with WooCommerce and its shipping extension has provided Bounce with the opportunity to offer a range of shipping options for UK sales.

The CMS and its modular block build functionality provided an easy to manage interface for content, especially when it comes to their more aesthetic pages for their brand story and “Bounce in a Nutshell”. It was also hugely fundamental in delivering on the animation aspects of the brief, with our designers having freedom to incorporate content layouts for housing video and animation content. This video content was storyboarded, created, and delivered all in-house at TDR.

Conclusion


The Bounce online presence was transformed into a full fledged brand commerce platform over the course of this project. Thanks to their great product and strong brand foundations, we were able to maximise their content with our own creative thinking and functional development process. The end result was a platform that balances emphasising brand commerce content with the functional checkout journey for users who just can’t get enough of their protein balls!
